The Niceness album cover is a creative collaboration by Joe and Kim O'Connor.

Kim loves to peruse Flickr's Commons which hosts an assortment of public domain images from various cultural heritage archives. She also has an obsession with cutting out digital objects in photoshop and scanning flower petals.

The album artwork is a culmination of Kim's weird digital behaviors and Joe's wicked love of thrashing generic fonts and teaching them to love the thrashing, because it makes them better.

If anyone can guess the main background image of the cover, you will be sent a fun digital prize via email.

About Niceness

Niceness is an Indie alt-folk whimsy pop band that features charming lyrics and a warm vocal presence that will take you on a journey filled with butterflies, wild things and buried treasure. Their samples of various public domain field recordings will make you feel like you're sitting in a breezy forest or on a ship out at sea.

Niceness was formed in 2008 in San Francisco, CA. Kim O'Connor is the songwriter, singer and player of mandolin, guitar, piano, keyboard sparkly dream sounds and the kazoo. Joe O'Connor plays the bass, guitar and controls the filters and delay to make everything pop. Jim Bove is the master of creating the delicious drum and percussion tracks.

Niceness features special guest performances by Lewis Ames, Ethan Lee, and Al Volmer from the Melatones, Vivian, Dmitri Seals from the Rocking Chairs, and Marc Brown from Humboldt Squid.
